Default Need help, bank spots on Santiams?

In all of ifishes infinite wisdom can anyone suggest possible places to bank fish either of the Santiams for salmon & steelhead. And if its not asking too much what are the preferred colors on these rivers? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Not a whole lot of bank access but here is a few spots: The deadline at the dam, mouth of Wiley Cr., the rocks at PV takeout might be good for bobber chinook, guardrail hole just as you exit the west end of town, waterloo boat ramp is good for re-run steelies, waterloo falls, and lebanon dam. There are a few more but I think you must access through private property. Right now #4 blue fox's in all silver or all brass is good. Also small dark corkies with black or white yarn works... Joe

Thank you Joe I'll take those things into consideration. As you can tewll I've never been there except for up above Greenpeter dredging with my dad. Just have an opportunity to go some where different then the Sandy or the Clackamas(its my birthday so my friends taking me fishing at my choice of places) Thought because of the positive posts about the Santiams that I would head down that way if there was a chance for a *bankie* to hook-up! However if it isnt worth the drive.....well I'm not so sure....anyways thank you for the response!

N. Santiam has several Parks with access as
well as Boat Ramps where you can access the
river. Buell Miller, Stayton, Mehama, John
Neal state Park, North Sanitam, Fishermans Bend and more towards Big Cliff dam.
From mehama HWY 22 pretty much follows the river. Lots of access!
