Default My first Steelhead, thanks to ******.

Many thanks to ****** for taking me out on the river and showing me how to catch my first steelie. I will post the pictures as soon as they are ready.

After the post of "who do you want to fish with?" we got in touch and set a date. Well we ended up with six fish on Saturday. We didn't count the shad that took the treble intended for steelhead. The Steelie I brought home weighed in at 8 pounds. And MMMM was it good.

It was a beautiful 14 hour day on the Columbia and I look forward to the next.

And once again thanks to Jennie for creating this sight that has enabled me to meet such a knoledgable fisherman. ****** knows how and where to catch feesh. I really had a great day.

Way to go guys! Summer steelies are chrome shiney fun!!!! After 6 hours of picnicing, swimming and sunbathing, I finally convinced my girls to shove off the beach and anchor a flatfish in the evening tide....WHAMO! My wife boated a nice hatchery fish in the first 20 minutes of her summer season. Just might be a good year!!!
