Default Help!!! Scattered Engine $#$#

Hello I Fishers;
I throwed a rod through the block running to the Rockpile last Monday! I hope someone can help me with some repower ideas. I'm looking for info on new long block, remanufactured long block, short block, or low hour used. My internet search has netted few viable options. Any info at all would be greatly appreciated The replacement must be for marine application....Internal components are different for automotive engines.

Here are the spec's:
1998 Volvo Penta 4.3 liter vortec V-6 GS model. It is rated at 205 hp.

Thanks in advance for all replies!

Boy Monday was a real SH*$$# day, I dropped a timing chain in my sled in Astoria, and when I went to fix it on thursday I found a nice neat little hole(About the size of a .45) coming out of my oil pan!!! I feel for ya dude! good luck! We are tearing mine down Monday to see what we need to do to repair(Maybe replace)!

Check out the Recon line of marine manufactured engines!

Well, my bro in law lost his starter in his duckworth today out towards the rockpile. Took him three hours to get back in. Just replaced it less than a month ago! I guess i'm glad to be working this weekend. Seems like there's some kind of voodoo going on?

Hey sturg good luck on yours...hopefully it just a matter of buying some tin. Pete; I ran across that site at work the other night. I should go back and make a "wanted" post. Thanks for the support.
As for the day as a whole it was Bitter Sweet. Below is a pic of the Chinook I caught while waiting for the Coast Gaurd to arrive. It came at 225 ft deep on a green glow hoochie w/herring chunk and prism fish flash. The fish had heart....it made two nice runs; oh how I love playing fish caught on downriggers.
oops! guess I need more practice Jen

Hi there, you need to learn to copy and paste. You wrote it out and added and 'e' in the .jpg.. You had .jpeg.
Anyway, you did good! Thanks for trying!
Jen

hey fishplay, if you don't mind me asking did you run the flash directly off the rigger ball then just the hoochie off the release, or did you have the hoochie and flash behind the release?

Salmonator: I ran the flash off the mainline not the ball. I like to run my offering quite a ways behind the ball when fishing for Kings and handlining the flasher back for hookup is a hassle. The new Fish Flash flashers are 'in line' and develope almost no drag at all so it is not neccesary. I used to fish the Hotspot flashers off the ball for Coho and pinks though.
