I'm Back !!! :)

Hello,just got back from Alaska about an hour ago.My wife and I and my in-laws had a great time,saw a ton of eagles and a couple moose no bears (thanks) caught a few fish and the guide lost two fish for me.It was tough fishing the water was lower then anyone has seen in years and bright sunshine 24 hrs a day it did get a little dusky about four in ther morning,the mosquitoes were AWFULLLL !!!!!we were told its the worst in years lots of deet (100%) and a headnet but we did have a great time and we are definatly going back next year.Well its really good to be home and now its time to go STEELHEADING in the columbia.I'll be fishing out of Washougal in my duckworth its burgandy with a grey top and has the ifish decal in the window on both sides if you see me give me a yell.Oh yea,we came home with 3 copper river kings [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img],should of had five [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]
oh well stuff happens,I guess.The only thing bad other then loseing the fish is I should of had three and my wife two but NOOO he had to lose mine,now I get to listen to my wife brag she caught more then me.ITS NOT FAIR [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]

I also just got back from the Gulkana River(last night) where we also caught some nice fish in the 35 to 45 pound range. We did however see a black bear one evening along the bank of the river. It takes a little getting used to putting your raft in about 3 or 4 in the afternoon and fishing until 1 or so in the morning. Dawhunt is correct about the wildlife along the river. The Bald Eagles were quite awesome.
