Cr Tuna Report-7-29-07
It was a little rough today but we still had another great day fishing ended with 29 not all out like Saturday, but WOW what a great weekend. Great fishing with all of the dogs this weekend. Thanks for the shared info. A little on the worn out side, time to get some rest.

Re: Cr Tuna Report-7-29-07
Two days in a row and I am dead tired even after sleeping in yesterday and taking it easy. Must be getting older or am in need of "Vegimeata Vitamins". But what a flat out blast friday and saturday was. 25 fish Friday and 29 on Saturday trolling mexican flags and pitching fish traps. Lots of one's and two's and a couple of tripple attempts but not hooked up. Lot's of good chatter on the radio.

I don't know how you guys run 2 days in a row.... we ran Saturday and I am STILL whooped! What a blast! We ran out to the 124.32 line, trolled out to 124.42 and quit because we ran out of room! We ended the day (stopped fishing at noon) with 36 albies! We were pulling Mexican Flags, Zucchini, a red/white/green clone and the hot one was nick named "Pinky". I am no longer a TUNA newbie!!!!! The bad news.... I'm already checking the reports for Friday...

I'm also checking Friday's reports. Can you spell tunabutt? I'm too old to fish tuna 2 days in a row. Wow what a hoot on Saturday. We quit early with a little less than 2 1/2 dz. Spent Sunday carking and cleaning up. Seems to me that one day fishing = 3 days. 1 day prep, 1 day fishing, and one day cleaning up. You could also throw in a 4th day for resting up & by that time its time to start over. Hats off to the guides and charter guys that do this day in and day out.

Re: Cr Tuna Report-7-29-07
I would have to agree the CR tuna bite was incredible this weekend. The quality of fish was great. Nice size. No peanuts. We fished the Canyon from the east point to the 42 line.
But most important of all was how all the salty dogs were so friendly with each other. Helping out each other with reports and numbers. I'm so impressed with the Salty Dog forum people. What a great group of fishermen.
I haven't heard yet, but did anyone get a exotic this weekend off the CR?
Oh by the way, stumbled onto "Just Keep Fishing" out there with Tracker and his pants down. Let's see if the film surface.

I was listening to that exchange between you two and thought this would make some good material for "America's funniest Videos". LOL. I was nice to hear folks wacking and stacking fish out there. Pretty steady bite overall.
