Default Lake Billy Chinook

Took my son and and father to the lake on Monday and Tuesday. We managed to net 33 Kokanee. I say this because you loose half of the fish you hook. They really thrash when they get close to the boat making netting a challange. We used silver superdupers #503, ford fenders and 2.5 oz. The fish were anywhere from 10 feet to 60 feet. The bigger fish were located by Pelton Dam.

Good to hear! I love Kokanie especially smoked and I am looking at new places to get the boat wet. So far I have only taken Kokanie out of Merwin Res, and Lake Granby in CO> How big were these fish?...mostly over or under a foot?

Up at Odell in May we lost so many at the boat, I took to just hoisting them in (blaming the gross incompetence of my companions of course!) ... didn't lose a one that way!
