Lewis River Smelt report

Tried this Pm for an hour or so never saw one. I tried mostly by the mouth, not many gulls either. Next week should be better.

I stopped at the Texaco hole on my way up to the Cowlitz. There was nobody there. I was looking the area over for about 5 minutes. While I was there about 3 other cars pulled in to see what kind of action was going on. Hope the Smelt do move into the Lewis soon. Getting smelt in the Lewis knocks about 40 miles round trip off the drive.
