Default Fish Trap questions

Ive not run fish traps before, Bought an assortment, and hooked them up.. Was wondering if anyone has a picture of how they tie these up. I think im doing something wrong.

I am assuming you are using these for Tuna.

I use a 1 to 2 oz. jig head, run the hook straight through the middle and up through the back. You can cast these or troll up to 7 knots. Some jig heads troll better than others with some people adding a torpedo weight to keep them down. Later in the year we troll down to 4 knts. This is when they are feeding on bait fish.

What brand of led heads? I'm always fearfull of a tuna straightening out the hook of the generic brand.

Do you connect the fish trap jig head directly to your swivel, or run a leader. One of the issues ive had is the bait spinning on me..

You can tune them by twisting the body. To run true the body needs to be even.

Yup, what Marc said. The super glue and having the tail absolutely straight are critical. No rolling allowed.
