Default Columbia/Sandy update request

Has anyone heard or caught any steelhead this week at the mouth of the Sandy? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Spent all day yesterday at that area and no luck. Saw some shad caught, but that was slim too. Had a great day though visiting with Fishin Mission and Pete. That makes the whole day worthwhile. Who knows, maybe when you get there, the run will be there.

Scattered reports of success over the last couple days. We hit one on Monday. Conditions are a little tough; you've got to find enough current to keep the boat tight on the anchor, but not get so deep that you're out of the fish. With the wind on Monday there were a few boats with their "tents" up that seemed to really be having a hard time of it. (Why would someone have their side curtains and back curtain in place when its 85 degrees out? Must be the same people who have their convertible tops up on sunny days.)
