I was hoping for a report too b/c I'm fishing Gari tomorrow. I tried Fish_On who is out there with the guys, figuring he might be catching TUNA! within cell phone range again. No answer. I don't have a sat phone.

Talked to Buddy about an hour ago. They got some fish close in and then picked up. He's running to the blue/ green line looking for some Dodo's...

I should be getting an update soon. I'll post after my 11am meeting.

Kerry,
You just need to get out and fish. They are inside 10 Miles from Garibaldi.
That should be all the insentive that you need. I could push you some by telling you how many I have boated this year so far. But, It would be braggin so I won't tell you it's 137.

Let's go fishin'. Cya at Astoria. Let's team up at the tourney? Maybe the day before if you fish it?

Mike, I'm two swells ahead of ya - float plans will be filed tonight and ice is on its way. I was just wanting to know how the fleet was doing - if they're still catching in close. I imagine that tomorrow we'll have to get out a bit farther due to the number of boats that will be out there.

I just tried Bud on the sat phone, no answer.

Hope they are locked up in battle and not in a no service spot…

Heading out, I’ll post later once I hear an update.

I got a brief message from CD, who is fishing with Puffin at about 1pm, they had 9 or 10 at about 10 miles NW. I don't know when they started or have any more details than that.

Might not be the WFO bite we have been spoiled with so much this year, but it's still pretty darn good fishing and close close close.

Just talked to Big Jon and they're now fishing salmon and just released a Coho. Flat ocean.

Peace, Tom

Seelicious is out about 45 miles with a few other boats in the blue water. No Dodos or other exotics (yet).

All boats in close and outside are into fish big time. Epic ocean, Lake Pacific...

Good luck tomorrow boys, I just had to back out on tomorrow's run.

Have fun, Beatty out.

Apparently the Cohodeo is on. Four fish in the box for three rods in two passes for puffin.

Yep, this was pretty much the case aboard the Wy's Guy today too. Worked are tail off for a couple of Albacore and came back in for easy limits of Coho. 65 degree water two miles out of Garibaldi today. It was scratch fishing for Albacore everywhere, and we never really "got into" the fish. Just ones and two's here and there. The best bite was about twenty miles out in late morning. Seemed like those that were using divers and handlines were doing slightly better than those of us that weren't .

Ocean was greasy smooth. Like Butta....

We ran around too much today...but we ran big gear hoping for something special...but the day was enough!

14 tuna and 3 Silvers on a slick sea...no complaints!

Puffin put a tuna in the boat in 175' of water this afternoon...you just don't know what you will catch in 200-400' of water.

Best bite I heard about was 45:39 124:56...30 fish.

thanks for the information. spot-on as usual....since i am working on my boat trailer tomorrow the fishing should remain stellar. soon as my axles hit the water the bite can and most likely will die

Great ocean today. The Tuna didn't want to play too much. We scratched 5 of them up (lost one though). Started trolling at 124.12 and didn't hook up until 124.18 or so. There was never any area that seemed to produce. Just a fish an hour or so. Pulled the plug on the Tuna and heard a salmon report from Wy's Guy I believe about a hot salmon bite straight out from the jetties so we headed that way. Today the coho were playing Tuna. We had several double hookups . Fish following hooked fish. Pretty crazy coho bite. It was quite fun since it had been about 3 hours since any fish action. From the sound of the radio chatter most people struggled to find any Tuna with any regularity. Fun day though.

Oh and the best producing rig for coho by far was a purple haze/white hoochie with a peice of herring behind a clear prism tape dodger on a diver anywhere between 15 and 20 pulls.

Heard that the root beer clone was a good producer today for Tuna. We didn't have any luck with cedar plugs. Mainly black and purple zukers.

We started at 45.40 x 124.15 and started catching fish right away and then it went dead for three hours. However, we pulled up a couple of times and finally found another good bunch of fish about 45.35 x 124.33. There were doubles and triples out there. So, we got what we wanted and went home.

Sounds like we should have gone a little farther north. Good job.
