Lost Mt. Hood climbers question??

Have had to make several trips from Hermiston to Salem for work this past month. From the freeway can see snow is really going fast on Ht. Hood. Gets me to thinking about the missing climbers, the two that disappeared with the third found in snow cave. Has anyone heard anything, sometimes news gets to us kinda slow over here on East side. Seems there should be some kind of effort now that snow has receeded so far.

Can't look at Mt. without thinking about the families and their loss.

I think I heard something on the news a few days ago that said they are actively looking for them now. But I'm not 100% certain.

Last weekend the searchers found a cache of their supplies at a climbers hut on Cooper Spur. I believe they are going back out this weekend to continue the search.

About a week ago they had a planned recovery day. They had all types of agencies looking in the general area that they thought that they might have been. They weather took a turn for the worst up the mountain so they are going to look again sometime in september. They did find some articles that the group had stashed away. If you go to koin.com, they had the newscast form that event on the site.
