Hear Alsea fishing is hot this week-end.Is this true?

I drove past it yesterday on the way to visit relatives. The North Fork looked great. The lower river didn't look like it had as great visibility, but still looked okay. Lots of anglers. I wish I could have fished it.

I heard it was good, but nothing more than usual. Oh, and the majority of fish are dark. Last time I was there I had to filter through 5 darkies before I found one that was table worthy. Saw mostly the same thing for most other anglers.

Fished the Alsea yesterday from Mill Creek to Pink Hous hooked four and boated two- both very bright fish 1 buck and 1 hen had three in the boat one a rookie first time on the water and he caught both!! still a great day

Ah, if only I could have fished it today. I started a new job, and I no longer have Mondays and Tuesdays off. When I drove past it Saturday, I got to look at what I'll be facing on streams like that. I took my boys in December, only saw one other angler. Saturday there were tons of cars. Oh well.
