Default Live update from Seelicious- 7/26 Garibaldi

Team Seelicious is currently in process of putting fish aboard. Some in the box, and a number lost.

Weather is sporty...caps and wind blowing pretty good, but Bud says it seems to be dropping a little. If the fish weren't so close it would have been a day at the dock.

Ready?.....................................

38 over 12.

That's about 9 miles NW from the tips in 50-60 fathom off of Manzanita.

2nd update-

Double digits in the box.

Water is 62.5

Water is GREEN and you can't see color until fish are real close to the boat.

Consistent action, mostly singles with some doubles.

Weather forecast was accurate, short duration, good chop. Ocean might improve as day goes on as the wind has dropped.

Wow! With all this wind and they are still in that close. I am amazed. Of course with the SST showing good water close then no wonder.

Ok, now I won't sleep all night. I'm fishing there tomorrow. First Tuna trip in my boat. I'm not sure I'll be able to call myself a Tuna boat captain catching Tuna in salmon water but who cares. Tuna!'s Tuna. Totally amazing they are that close.

It's going to be hard to sit in a campground and catch trout for a week :o

Yeah, Bud had Chad call and rub some salt into the wound a little bit. Brutal, just brutal. They are wacking and stacking fish.

The boys are trolling towards the tips with a big bag of fish.
Good grade of fish, but they are scattered.

No sat phone calls today as they never got out of cell range...

The weather seems to be getting better...

13 fish on board and heading to the barn 8 miles from the tips. Not bad.

Nice haul, especially for so close. Now the question is with a nicer ocean would traveling out further produce any more fish?

Bud, sounds good. I think I'll follow suit tomorrow. Sounds like the right plan with somewhat sloppy seas. Let's hope the fish stay around the area till friday.
See ya later tonight,
Brad
