Open seat - Clackamas River 6/28
Looks like I'll be hitting the lower Clack w/ the driftboat on Thursday. Right now I have one open seat and might have another later. Will post if I do. I'll be mostly running diver and bait, along w/ some back bouncing and maybe a little bit of bobber & jig. If anyone is interested give me an e-mail or post on here. Lurkers need not apply. I'll get in contact w/ you and we'll figure out what drift, shuttle and other such stuff. Looks like we should be getting some rain tomorrow and I'd love to hook into a chrome summer. Drove by the river today and it looked low but good.
BTW No Bananas!! I will be inspecting your lunch.

BH, That should be a good float, A lot of fish in the clack right now. Was up at the Dog Creek Hatchery last week and they were getting a load of steelhead together to take back down river.Nice sized fish they were running back down. They took that bunch to riverside. Some springers also. Maybe this shot of rain will get a good bite going.Good luck. Wish I wasnt working that day.

Re: Open seat - Clackamas River 6/28
Okay so its raining and its raining really hard. Apparently the worst is supposed to hit us tomorrow. I still have an open seat on the boat, but right now that trip is on hold. I have a pretty good idea that the Clack is going to get high and muddy for a while. Maybe I'll fish in a couple of days when it dies down. Still if you want the spot on a "possible" Thursday trip let me know. Based upon river conditions tomorrow I will decide if we're going or not. Lots of luck to everyone else.

Thursday could work! I have the time and my gear is good to go. If you decide to go for it and that seat is still open, I'd be pleased to warm it for you...please email me directly.

Re: Open seat - Clackamas River 6/28
Sorry *********, Smily got to me first so he has the first seat. There is still a good chance that my other buddy may bail. He is a bit of a fair weather fisherman. If he does decide not to go, you get the spot. I will try to peg him down asap and let you know. Good luck.

Re: Open seat - Clackamas River 6/28
River right now looks really really awesome. Its coming up some, but is just a little green and not muddy at all. Hopefully it will stay this way. I went to Carver and threw bobber and jig @ Clear Creek for a while this morning. No bites, no fish and no boats on the river either.
The Carver boat ramp is now a pay area. Did anyone else know about this? 3 dollars per day on weekends and holidays. They say something about rigs w/ trailers not having to pay if they boat is registered, but registered w/ who? If the trailer is sitting there then they won't be able to see the boat to inspect for its registration! I'm so confused. I'm guessing this must have just happend recently, because I hadn't heard anything about it.

Re: Open seat - Clackamas River 6/28
Okay so ********* and I will be hitting the Clack tomorrow morning. Just picked up some fresh sandshrimp (3 hrs old) and am putting away all the gear. Got back from the river and am sooo anxious. Saw a couple of chinook rising at Carver. I think I'm too excited to sleep! Sorry this one didn't work out Smily. Will do an afternoon trip soon.
So, 2 seats are full, but there is still one left. I know this is absolutely last minute, but anyone who wants it can have it. I hate having an empty seat on the boat. E-mail me w/ your number and we'll talk. Plan is to be at Carver at 6 am and drift from Barton on down. Get done around 2-3 and spend the next couple hours filleting fish. See yall later.
