Default Velvet Blacktails

We sure saw a lot of bucks at work last week. The cool overcast weather had them out in full force. Here are a series of pictures of 3 I saw on Thursday.

I like this one because two of the bucks lined up almost perfectly to make it look like a monster rack

Here are few my boss saw last week as well. The big one on the right was an absolute pig. When you zoom in the orignal picture you can see he is going to be really nice.

This little guy was standing in the road for over 10 minutes. We're going to go look for him this season

Good pictures thanks. Do you guys have a good deer population down there?

I'd say our deer population is probably the best I've seen it in a couple of years. Lots of deer running around this year, lots of fawns too. We saw 10 bucks in two days if that gives you an idea of the population. Probably scattered over a 50 mile stretch though.

Nothing but 3pts??? Where all the 4pts?

All those bucks on private property and you can't find a buck shed to save your butt!

That's right SP, they are all on private property..... PRIVATE TIMBER LAND! Actually, the two bucks in the date stamped picture are seriously on private property; the rest anyone could go and bust. You just have to hike in behind locked gates to find them

And I found plenty of buck sheds this year thank you. Elk sheds, that's another story
