Default Hey Jennie, what's up with this.....

I have been having a little trouble accessing the page. I have an icon on my desktop that takes me right to the board here. It has always worked just fine, but now when I open it, it says I am not logged in, every single time. Even if I come in, log in, then close the window and come right back, I have to log in again. On my computer, this is a real pain. Did something change with the way the board is managed to cause this? I haven't changed any of my settings. Is this the board, or am I doing something wrong? Anybody else having this trouble?

chnookie: Sounds like your cookies may have been disabled (I hate it when THAT happens ).

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Security | Custom Level. Scroll down until you see a couple of lines that say: "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer," and "Allow per-session cookies (not stored)." Make sure the "Enable" radio buttons are checked. This is for Internet Exploder. I don't remember how Nutscrape handles them.

Hope that will help

Thanks gang. So far I have checked my cookies. Thought I lost my cookies, but apparently my cookies are just fine thank you. How are your cookies? JK, looks like my cookies were already enabled the way you described. I will have to check and make sure there isn't something checked that is deleting the cookies as I log on and off. Dunno. Computers suck!!!!

I use both netscape and microsft explorer. No problem. always logs in. My only problem is if when my wife has logged on I have to log out and back in as me.

Oh sure, soon as I post that it is still doing it, it quits. Been having a slough of other problems too, maybe they were related. Yeah, and maybe now they are all fixed too. Anyway, working now, so I'll stop my b$$ching.

Sometimes computers need to sleep!
Bill's gets broken, but if we turn it off for the whole night it wakes up all better!
Try feeding it an apirin.

sometimes you need to reboot the computer to get the original settings back if the get a minor coruption. You should also check to see that your virus checker is up to date. Those can be a pesky problem that lurks around attacking different things without you realizing it.

Jen, this same thing happens to me all the time. Question is should we have to log in each time we log on? It works that way about 50% of the time for me. I had to log on today but usually do not. No big deal to log on but am just wondering why it does not work the same all the time?

I have never had to log in again, unless I have logged off.
I'm fairly sure it is in one of your settings, and not the fault of the program.
Keep me updated though!

Maybe I figured it out. I was also having problems with running other internet stuff. Everything was real slow. So I checked my startup menus and found out I had some unneeded software running, apparently rode in with my last software installations and just popped up. Shut those down and now I am not having any problems. Could be totally unrelated but oh well.
