Default Do yourself a favor, book to buy

If you are Newport do yourself a favor and stop by JC Thriftway, west side of Hyw just North of where Hwy 20 joins 101.

Book is called:

Smoking Salmon and Trout by Jack Whelan

Covers much more, canning, pickling, salting, freezing, cleaning.

I have been fishing the salt and rivers of Oregon for well over 40 years and every time I open up this book I learn something new.

It was out of print for years and I guard my 2 copies very carefully.

There must have been a reprint, cause it's in this store on a revolving rack between the ends of the isles and the check out counters.

You will be very glad to took the time. I gurantee it. Cover says over 67000 copies sold.

Yup, great book for the fishermans library. I've had it for years. I just looked at it last weekend again. It's worth every penny.
