I'm in for Sunday. Today's chloro and SST shots make this weekend a go for sure.

Terrafin released a chloro shot this morning that was taken yesterday 7/23 2:15 PM---that shows blue water as close as 124-45. Warm water is not a problem either--the Westport buoy is at 61.9 degrees right now.

Sorry I can't post the chloro pic, it's copyrighted.

It looks like there won't be a good chloro or SST shot today, but yesterday's showed a nice break to blue water about 30 NM out. I don't know how this N wind will affect things, but we're going to give it a shot even if we don't get a good SST or chloro shot before Sat.---assuming the swell and WW hold.

Looks like we'll be running out Saturday also. Bait receiver opens at 6:00 A.M. Will get some anchovies and head out. Will also be on 68.

The latest (7/26) SST and chloro just came out and it looks like the Westport crew should head SW at a bearing of 230 degrees for 32 NM until the water starts to clear.

The wind forecast just picked up for the afternoon though....

SAT
S WIND 10 TO 15 KT RISING TO 15 TO 20 KT IN THE AFTERNOON.
WIND WAVES 1 OR 2 FT...BUILDING TO 2 OR 3 FT. W SWELL 5 FT.

Hopefully they're close so we can get off the water before the wind blows.

Whats it cost for the live chovies? I think ive driven by the dock in the basin there, but never got any bait...

I'll be there Sat as well...

Monitoring 68. I think Ill wait until after Max Ebb to head out...6 ish or so.

Looks like that 230 heading is about right on the money. I might try a little north of there to start up by the Canyon, then troll south...
Im in a white TJ with Suzuki power...

If i find some fish, i'll give a yell to ya all...

Do you think Sunday still looks unreasonable? Wetsand is saying 4' wave at 8 second interval. 12 knot wind. Any news on the latest satellite images?

The nice thing about Sunday is we can fish for salmon if the weather doesn't cooperate for a long tuna run.

Fun-Did, I fished with Tower Todd on Thursday, it was awesome, I met you last time we were out there with Todd a couple weeks ago. He is at Westport today doing some maintenance and looks like he is heading out again on Saturday. He is in the same slip. Good luck, the fishing has been great.

I spoke to Todd this afternoon and he indicated about 32 miles out. Good fishing and filled the holds.

Olybirds, we went south to Wilapa Canyon then headed west, we ended up about 37 miles out. I did not bring the numbers home with me, but check with Tower Todd tonight (Saturday) for his up to date report.
