Default Planet Earth. One Amazing program!!

Has anyone watched this BBC series? I's one of the finest pieces of television I've ever seen. Our friends have the series on DVD. I watched an episode on endangered species last night. Really sad how we've managed to screw up so much. It's also nice to see so many care and am trying to fight the losses of habit, poaching, and educate the true stewards of the wildlife in peril.
If you get a chance, please watch it, it's outstanding!

i watched the series with the kids and we all really enjoyed it. if everything in the documentry is true there are some really awesome things to see on this planet. i did notice a little politics in it, but for the most part they kept it to a minimum. some of the things mentioned really bucked the some of the things claimed by environmental groups that i thought was interesting. i did not know most of the planets oxygen was made my algae. that blew me away! and most of the oxygen produced by forests came from the tioga forest in siberia! between algae and the tioga forrest i believe it accounted for about 90% of the worlds oxygen! i would love to see borneo after watching that show. id recomend it to anyone!

Cool show. As are the replays of the three "Guns, Germs and Steel". Lots to learn there.

Saw it when they had it on the discovery channel. We liked it so much I bought it when released on DVD. We found Davis Attenborough's narration on the DVD set far superior to the Sigourney Weaver's that was used on the TV release. Best deal we found was 52.00 at Costco.

I have picked it up a couple times now at costco only to put it back after seeing that price tag... having not seen any of it, it is a bit much to drop on some DVDs. Can it be rented anywhere first? I would love some great nature DVDs for the kids but want to preview them first.

It is still being shown on Comcast. Saw two segments in the last week.

Like Thumper said, it's on Comcast. I've watched a few episodes that were OnDemand. It's a great show!
