ORsouthpaw....I bought my 308 Norma mag at Larrys sporting goods years ago it was in the Used Gun rack it had a custom stock on it, a very nice custom stock, the only thing I didnt like was it was a "blonde" stock So i got it for 300.00 Took it over to a place out of Oregon City called Enstead and douglas Gunsmiths and he had a beautiful Black walnut stock that fit it perfect that someone gave him for a trade on some gunsmithing work. I killed a spike bull down by seaside one season and a 3x4 Mule deer in the steens , I then traded it and a ruger 270 that i owned for a 257 Weatherby that was at Andy & bax in Portland . I hand loaded for it . It was a very nice shooting Rifle . But do to gun writers pushing the 300 winchester mag and the 7mm mag it kinda fell by the wayside , and yes it is hard to find ammo for it unless you get alot of Norma brass somewhere for a good price. Personally I would keep the gun if it was a hand me down.
I know some collectors that will buy it because of the fact they are hard to come by. if in great shape I would watch ebay you can find some brass
at good priced many times try to get "unfired" if at all possiable.
Here is a web sight , if you dont reload, that will reload for you with the bullit you desire, just a suggestion:
