Default Anyone headed to Chicken Ranch Thursday?

I'm headed to chicken ranch Thursday for halibut. Anyone else going out there on Thursday. I would prefer to not be the only one out there on a thursday in the middle of July.

Check the conditions first. 50 Out just posted that he came back into Depoe about noon today and was glad to be back inside. Hmmmmm

I've got a 22 foot Hewes, it is gray with a white stripe. I'll probably go for halibut if conditions are decent, if not then salmon in closer.

I talked to Spoiled Daddy just a few minutes ago, and he said that it got real bumpy this afternoon. The forecast is not looking real good for tomorrow.

I also talked with spoiled daddy about an hour ago and he said his kid was chumming due to how rough it was. Check the conditions before going. Wetsand.com is a great site for wave and sea conditions. Good luck!!!

I pulled the plug for today, yesterday afternoon when coming home from work I saw nothing but sheep out offshore, and had other things to get done today anyway.

Good luck to those who tried it today, and stay safe.

I hope everyone stayed on the beach. At 5:30 this morning, the stonewall bouy was report 6' swells at 6 seconds and 20-25 knot winds. The bar at newport was restricted to 22' foot and less.

Yeah .. old sailors and bold sailors and all that.

I'm so sure about the weekend that I'm towing 'Kismet' to Boring to let Jerry's upholstery have a go at the bridge seat and bridge cover.

My garden needs some TLC and so do some of my friends.

Be safe out there.
