Another Use for Tuna Bellies!
I found another great use for tuna bellies.
Our walk-behind lawn mower does not start very easily. My wife, Sandy, was going to help me mow some lawn yesterday, so I went out to start the mower. Just before this, I had been processing tuna recently caught with Ron M on the Silverfish. I washed my hands, but they still smelled of tuna. I was barely able to start the mower without getting stung by yellow jackets.
Taking the hint, I put a couple of small pieces of tuna belly in a yellow jacket trap that had only caught one yellow jacket since I put it out a six or more weeks ago. I have had it up for only a couple of hours now, and it has already resulted in six trapped yellow jackets with more buzzing around, even though today is a cool day and the critters are not out in full force.
So, share a little bit of your tuna bellies with the yellow jackets. You will be glad you did.
