Fishing Vicariously
Hope I spelled that right!!!
It's sunny outside, doesn't look like a cloud in the sky and I'm stuck on the couch in front of the puter and TV.
Had double hernia surgery they other day. Man it's no fun at all. Looking forward to being back to normal again, that is if I was ever normal!!!
So I will sit here andfish vicariously through everyone for a bit in my drug induced haze.
Man I sure liked that percocet, but I was itching like crazy so they had to change it
So get out there and enjoy the sun for me!!!!

Re: Fishing Vicariously
Hence the double hernia operation. Ouch! Bustin' a gut on an over-sized Columbia River Gator!

Re: Fishing Vicariously
Vicodin work pretty well if you can get past the bugs crawling on the walls. Maybe we can make this into your favorite prescription drug post. Here's my top 10.
10) perscription ibuprofen
9) novacaine
8) naproxen
7) tylenol 3
6) tylenol 4
5) perscription marijuana
4) percocet
3) vicodin
2) demerol
1) morphine

Re: Fishing Vicariously
From all the football injuries, I've had all the top 10 listed above. The itching will go away as your body adjusts to the medication. OR, your dosage is too large
Sorry to hear about the operation bro. How long are you going to be out for?

Re: Fishing Vicariously
I'm on vicodin now. It works good but doesn't give you the total euphoric feeling.
I had the surgery on the 14th, go back to the doc on the 28th. Supposed to be off work 3-4weeks, then light duty up to 6 weeks.
Worst part was yesterday was my anniversary was yesterday. There's part so bruised and swelled up that i didn't think they could bruise and swell up so much. LOL
Unfortunately I never made it out fishing last week. Hopefull ni a weel or two I'll head out to a local lake to get my fix.
Word of advice: Don't lift anything heavy, and don't count on the state getting your money to you anytime soon. Mine happened at work and they approved the surgery right away but $$ is gettin tight while waitin for them.
Reminds me I have to call them, gotta go do that.

Re: Fishing Vicariously
Loritab 10.0 works sometimes for me since my body has built an immunity up for painkillers. You aren't supposed to drink alcohol with painkillers, but a small glass of wine helps.
