Talking CR sunday

I'm new on this forum ...my boat is a 24" seasport talon ...we call it the Pelagic sunday's report ...because my GPS failed we waited on the fog to lift ...finally made it down toward the CR (Rough sea) ..immediately hooked and landed a small clipped coho and then came a double ...sea improved ...so we stayed in the area ..picked up 3 more and headed in at 3 pm ...released a couple of small kings ...not a bad day for a late start ..incidently anybody out there with a spare antennae for a Lowarance 104 c we should talk cheers

Default Re: CR sunday

Welcome aboard ... if you have the type with a pilot house and I think a blue stripe, nice boat, we were at CR around same time, 18' Striper with two guys fishing next to 17' whaler with two real fisherman.
Bar crossing same time (7AM) was one of the rougher ones I've done, if that was 6' at 6 seconds then I now know the beginning of pucker factor for my boat. I tried throttling back but the run off current was so strong even at 1800 rpm's I was going nearly 17 mph. I think we should have stayed at the CR Bouy but we trolled west - left fish to find fish - we ended up with 3 total, 2 coho and a small chinook for the two boats.
