Default Northside

I see this has been asked several times. I usally hunt the Imnaha unit. I wanted to try something new and different and just a little closer to home. I was able to get elk tags for Northside unit this year. However, it was a couple of years yearlier then expected. I am humbly asking for some areas to begin to scout.

You may want to look at the Day Creek area at the head of Fox Creek. From there you can drop into Fox Creek or scout out the ridge line or move in and out of the many fingers. Good luck.

Not sure which hunt # you drew but just know that for some Elk hunts Northside is divided by east and west side, with HWY 395 being the line. Check around Nipple Butte, and Below Chipmunk Ridge, on the south side of Nipple Butte. We see them often during Deer season (Rut) in these areas.
