Default Deschutes steelies ( not yet)

OK so maybe I jumped the gun a little but anyway spent the weekend on the Dechutes near moody. I had all the water I wanted to myself and for good reason.
I talked to a couple other people and we all concluded that there aren't enough fish around yet. I thought people would like to know that it's not quite on yet. There are 12,000 fish over bonneville but only 3000 over the dalles. It should start picking up in a coup-le weeks though.

Also on an interesting note I spoke withthe fly shop in hood river on the way and they told me that the Hood has really been hot the last few weeks and was still fishing well. I don't know where they count them but he mentioned the number 3000 whuch to me sounded awsome for such a small stream.
anyway just wanted to report that. Good luck if you go, you'll need it.
