Central OR: Fishing partner needed!
May sound cheesy, but it's true. I just relocated to Sunriver, and don't know anyone that I can fish with. Really, overall, I know 2 people here. However, not a bad place to be!!!
I have 7 years of experience fishing the North Coast and the Portland area.
Bonus: I have an 18 ft Gregor with reliable engines, depth finder, and all needed safety equipment. I also have a driftboat and a great little kicker.
I will hop on your boat or you can join me on mine. I just started fishing Wickiup for Kokanee and have caught them, but that's about it. I have downriggers that I haven't learned to fish with....well I haven't had the chance.
Sounds like I'm asking for a date or something, but fishing with my wife and 3 and 4 year old girls is more like swimming and sunbathing. I'm 33 and like to think I'm a bit of a normal person. I also like to focus on putting fish in the boat.
Send a PM if you can offer some company.
Also: as far as fly fishing goes, I could use a lot of help.
Tom
BTW: I'm a teacher and have a lot of time to fish over the summer.

Tom,
You just moved right in to the heart of trout and kokanee central! I'll shoot you a PM with my contact info. There are a bunch of ifishers that live near you as well. East Lake has been fishing well and Lava should really turn on any day now. The next couple of weeks are going to be kind of ugly for me, but we'll get something lined up.

PM sent. One can never have too many good, reliable fishing partners in this life.

Hey Tom,
I may try to get over there before school starts again. Yes, remember the reason why you moved??? To work??
I'll bring Kristi and my girls so she can watch them while we fish....try Lake Billy Chinook. A bit of a drive for you but I've heard it's worth it.
I'm going the other way this weekend-going to try and get a few razor clams.

Re: Central OR: Fishing partner needed!
if you live in sunriver or in one of the other local developments with river access/launch, fishing the section along sunriver is some of the best brown fishing anywhere. set out some crawdad traps then bait fish with them. crawdads=big browns right now is the best time.

Fire me a PM if you have plans to come up to LBC, Haystack or Simtustus one of these days. I am also fully outfitted so you only need self +/- fishing gear.

I'm not much of a trout guy, but with fuel prices I might have to start fishing in my back yard. PM on the way
