Rant about myself with cell phone

I had a Motorola Razor, for me it was a great phone, falls in the river a few times, dry it out and it was working....in the washing machine twice, dry it out and works, dog chewed it up, and it still worked......well it gave up a week ago....after 2 years of good service to me

So I go to the phone store last Thursday, and there it is, a new Razor, so I buy it, load everything into it, download a few ring tones, NASCAR drive bys, AC/DC, and, I'm going to miss her (Brad Paisly)(sp) I tell myself, self....be careful with this new phone ! Take care of it !!

So Saturday, I'm out in the back yard with my phone in my swimsuit pocket, and boy, its warm, so I just walk right down the steps, into the pool.....ah, that feels good !I said.....%&@#$, My wife says "WHAT" I say, my phones in my pocket ! She says well get out of the pool dumby....... (speedos don't have pockets, thats a idea right there)

Well I dry it out, and 12 hours later, it works great......so no worries.....

Last night......I decide to make a river run in the boat, we are on the beach, I set my phone on the edge of the bow of the boat, (its black, like the new phone, so its hard to see) My dog jumps up in the boat and gets wet sand all over the bow, no problem just wash it down with the wash down hose.....as I'm spraying ....I notice my phone, guess what....it's wet.....I say #%&@$ !!!, the wife says "WHAT" I say I just sprayed my phone, Agian, I get well you "dumby" from my wife.

Well it powers up as of 12 noon,

My wife grounded me from all water activities.....untill I can prove myself to be responsible with cell phones.

Holy crap

Consider yourself lucky. I bought the same model phone recently and while we were camping and a LITTLE water was on the counter in our camper and it contacted the phone..............BUBB EYE No Mo Phone...

Good thing for the insurance, still a $50 deductible though. Stinkin' thing was less than a month old.

My husband bought a Pelicen for his MP3 Player and takes it fishing all the time. It keeps all water out. You should invest in this product for your phone.

Why don't cell phone manufacturers make water proof phones?
Those darned cell phones do just about everything these days, why not make ones that swim, too?

Don't feel too bad. Three weeks ago The Cootessa and I were ready to go trout fishing. As I start to back out of the driveway there's a loud CRUNCH! Yup, my cell phone. How it ended up under the car, I have no idea.

Last week The Cootessa and I are in Newport, out on the south jetty. She spots a net float bobbing in on the tide. I decide to be the hero. Clambering around on rocks the size of my truck, I feel something hit my knee and hear a clatter below me. Down there, in a hole, on a rock, is my new cell phone. As I watch, a wave surges in and gently sucks the phone into the green depths.

Now she won't let me get a new phone until Ihave gone 30 days without killing one. In fact, she won't even let me sit in the same room as hers!

Bah!

hows this?....riding home one night from work on my motorcycle I remember my phone is in my side pocket (cargo pants) and I dont want it to fall out so I get from my pocket to put in my riding jacket...remember I am wearing gloves.... so in the jacket it goes get home and the wife says "just called you" I go to look at my phone and can not find it, I guess it was smashed on 217 somewhere...lol

Do what I do. I don't take mine anywhere on my person. It stays in the car or in a dry bag in my boat.

Everybody complains that I never answer my phone, but hey, that's what voicemail is for.
