A no BS Estuary report for 6/15

Fished the Esturay today. The results are........... well....... mixed. I would like to know where all this action is because there wasn't any! 5 fish was all we could muster 2 shakers and 3 keepers. Now before you get all excited, let me say we had to work for them. The fish we got were real nice. A 51", 51", and a 56". All were big and fat. We saw VERY few fish caught. The ODFW checker said it was a slow day....No kidding. So where is all this hype coming from? All I have heard is how good the fishing been. BS! [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img] Yeah we did well, better than most, but it was luck. I'd like to say it was a secret spot or a secret scent or that I'm just that darn good [img]images/icons/rolleyes.gif[/img] but I can't. It was fun though. Squid was the bait of choice and tackle time opens at 5am. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] Good luck if your heading out this weekend.

Going to hit the shad at OC tomorrow.

Beat up, My boat is a thing of beauty, you couldnt imagine how many fish it takes to make enough slime to make aluminum look like that. [img]images/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

The dents are from all the fish flopping around on the floor.

The top is falling apart from ..... well it was just sewn with crap thread is my guess.

Tell you what Roy, Bring that tin can over here and we'll have a smell off. Get Gizmo to be the judge. I got so much blood, slime, and sturgeon poop in it now I bet it smells worse than yours. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] I have never seen poop from a fish as big as a dogs. [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] The garage wreaks even after the clean up!
