Default LOST STURGEON IN ASTORIA IF FOUND

The story you are about to read is TRUE the names have been changed to protect the embarrassed.Thursday went down to Astoria to do a little sturgeon fishing, started at tounge point, after feeding the little bait thieves for a hour we all made the decision to go up to Hammand and fish the flats.
After a hour or two had 3 nice keepers numruous shakers and a whole lot of good fellowship with good friends. Oh yes we had a guest in the boat that I'm sure at times must of thought we had no idea of what we were doing. This is when the story gose very very wrong. The wind was starting to blow at a small gale force when we thought, }Another problem that the three of us have}lets pick up maybe top the day off with a Tounge point late bite. We tralior the boat and off we go arrive at tounge point run out to one of our favorite spots and start to fish. We decide to bleed the sturgoen as we wait for one more keeper. Three out of the four of us started to get rattles yes they had been the little guys that had greeted us early that morning this time only taking about five minites to say enough is enough we figure it's time to call it a day who knows might even score some kitchen points with or wives by getting home before 8:30 PM. A little side note when the three of us reeled in we had 3 scalpin on our hooks.
I go to grab our fish that my close dear friend had tied to the rail of the boat and relize that they our gone!!!!! History, shark bait, soory charlie. Yes our stringer had come un tied : Our guest now knowing that we know nothing, asked very polite I thought when you traded up you kept something bigger then what you had? So if found one 49 incher, 45 incher, a 42 incher please let us know. And remember to tie that rope tight.

I hope that "trading up" is just used as a phrase and not actually what you had in mind. Other than that sorry to hear about the rope. I must admit that i've had a few keepers waterskiing alongside the boat but never lost any off the rope.. Joe
