Default Tips on night fishing

Im headed out tonight to do some LM bass fishing from about 9-12. Im bringing poppers, buzzbaits, and jitterbugs. Any other tips on lures or baits to bring along and how to fish em? Thanks

I have had luck with black spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. Have fun, should be a good way to avoid the heat and all the summertime commotion.

Good luck and let us know how it goes

haha!, I'd have to agree with the mosquito repellant. Those things are thick! I was out right at dark a couple nights ago, and got nailed! Grrr! put a stop to my catching.

Next time i'll bring the OFF.

Well, we went out for a nice night of bass fishin and remembered the bug off spray thank god! We used buzz naits, speed worms, hula poppers, and jitter bugs. Ended up catching 9 fish. The wind was pretty heavy on the lake which made it a pain in the butt. My question is, does the wind kill the top water fishing? It seemed like the only places we caught fish on top water was where it was calm and quiet with no wind. Any suggestions when this happens and youre night fishing?

yeah the wind can really kill the top water bite. to much commotion on the top fish cant here or see the bait. sounds like fun though.

Brett be careful fishing those hula poppers at night. I have wore many of them on hooksets- he he. I like worms and jigs and color makes absolutely ZERO difference.
