Default Big lures for Big fish

All of the talk of volkswagen tuna in our waters made me drag out some big lures I have stashed away. I haven't used any of these but was saving them for a trip down south.
What do you think about dragging one around way back? Are they to big for around here? BTW have bag will travel!

I say throw it out there. Whats the worst that could happen, catch a bannana. At the very least it will give the sharks something to chase.
