Wink Is it ok to elk hunt on the playgrounds!!! (pics)

Or at the firehall,or somebodies front yard.Or maybe better yet,I could go get a limit of oysters and steamer clams, then top off the day tagging my elk.Seen these on the beach more than once.

Heres a legal bull looking at us.

Just Kidding!

Just thought I would share.I posted some more pics in Life in General under Elk at Brinnon school.

They stroll through our place up there once in awhile. Its pretty cool to go out on the porch in the morning and listen to the cows mewing and chirping and then hear the bulls bugling.

There is usually at least 1 cow with a radio collar and 1/2 a dozen bulls.Just saw 1 bull this day but saw about five a couple weks ago.

Brinnon grade school.

Its on Hoods canal about 20 miles north of Hoodsport

Whenever we are up there I usually go for a ride a few times a day looking for them.Love to watch them.
I really enjoyed seeing a group of about a dozen calves bedded down and being babysat by a big cow.
There is a picture of them in my post over in L.I.G. they dont show up very good but you can see them in it.

Haha, This reminds me of a great story someone once told me. LOL. Its about a Principal at a school on the North Coast, cant remember the exact school. Anyway he drove to school early in the morning and when he arrived at school a Five point and a Six point stood right behind the school in the playground or soccer field. Well it was the middle of Coast Rifle season and he had his gun so he shot both of them behind the school. Well he only had one tag so as the kids arrived for school he got on the buses and was looking for a kid to tag the other bull for him. lol. Eventually State Police showed up and he got busted and fired from his job. But this picture just reminded me of that story. Pretty funny
