Depoe Tuna report 7/8
Beautiful ocean today for the Sea-J.
We stopped on the way out at the 35 line to see of fish were still holding there in the green water. Nothing for about an hour of trolling.
Moved North and out, and ended up finding fish at 45.00 x 124.49.
Blue water started at the 40 line. Plenty of warm water in close to shore still.
Had 25 to leader, and put 23 in the box. Mostly all singles, with a double here or there, and one triple.
Saw a few boats off in the distance, otherwise it was just us.

Re: Depoe Tuna report 7/8
Nice job as usual. Didn't know you were out there, we ran out to Area 61 with Raven after limits of Coho(thanks for the Salmon report Mike) had 3 tunagins on board Magnum(Chuck) & 2 Portland Area Carpenter buddies, Tom, & Doug, started off with a triple, landed all 3, Woo Hoo 3 ex-Tunagins all at once. mostly singles the rest of the day, 13 total, Raven got 15, Silverhawk(I think) was the first to find the fish, & radioed the report(Thanks man) 60.8 deg. blue water still at Area 61, I really didn't think we would go for Tuna Sun., but just in case I told the Guy's to bring #20 of ice each, I brought #40, we had just enough Ice for our 13 Tuna, it all go's to show ya "Always be prepared" stuck with our wingman Raven all day, & ended the day with 8 Crab, came in about 4pm just as the wind was starting to pick up.

Re: Depoe Tuna report 7/8
Crew did good. Pretty normal for people that don't tuna fish, but once they figured out how to work the tuna instead of the tuna working them, things got a little smoother. Lots of singles, so they didn't have many multiple hookup challenges.
