Yes they do. Send it into ODFW and they will send you a report of when and where it was tagged.

If its Oregon call Clackamas or Portland. If the tag is a WDFW tag call Mike Wall at 360-906-6727.

being a orange tag i would bet it said battle ground washinton on it with the #'s there is at least one seiner that is working for odfw and tagging fish i know he works Tillamook, yaquina and umpqua estuaries. I am just not sure about columbia but would not surprise me he works it too.I along with several others have been tagging sturgeon in the yaquina for the state for a number of years.its kinda fun to catch one get the # and find out where its been.there was a sturgeon caught in the yaquina a few years back that was tagged in the sacramento river and one here recently had a frazier river tag in it so it just goes to show these fish can and do cover some water.

You can also report the tag on the WDFW web site under "Fishing/Shellfishing".

go to wdfw's website they have a place on there to send in the info on line. I just recieved info on a fish I caught earlier this year. Was interesting they tell you where it was tagged and how big it was and when. takes quite a wile to get the info back. The website makes it a lot easier though. Good luck
