Default Fishing charter

The Portland chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) would like to book a ocean fishing trip in August. Since I am a board memeber, I get the honor of scheduling this event. Our preference is for Halibut first, but realize the season is short. Salmon second and Bottom Fish third. We have about 10 at this time. Any recommendations on charters and ports to head out from.

Thanks in advance.

I second Strike Zone's recommendation. A woman at work used them last July and the entire boat left with fish. I think they also caught the hell out of the sea bass too.

Tradewinds at Depoe Bay. They do combo trips for salmon and bottomfish. Or either one, you choose. Last time I went out I hooked 5 Silvers and brought 2 to the net.

On a side note the last time I was down there that operation was for sale. Might talk with people who have gone recentely to see if they are still good.

OTS,
Try a combo trip out of Ilwaco on the 4 Seasons.I believe the skipper is Danny Schenk. See if you can't get yourself a trip of salmon/sturgeon fishing. I bet if you talk nicely Danny may do some bottom fish as well. This guys pounds the fish!

Tight Lines,
Getbit
