Frustration (Nintentdo DS Lost)
On July 4th RP, Daniel and I went to my parents house early in the Morning. Ryan, DAB, and Daniel were going fishing. My son was so excited to be at Grandpa and Grandma's place and going fishing on top of that. He had his Nintendo DS (blue) in a black case with all of his GAme Boy Advance games and all of his Ninentendo DS games pluse the DS in it. He was going to bring it in to Grandpa and Grandma's place like I told him to. He then saw his Grandma and got distracted. He placed his case apon the wheel well of the boat. (according to what Grandma saw) HE gave Grandma a hug. He forgot about his DS being on the wheel well. They got everything ready into the truck. Got into the truck and drove off. When Ryan, Daniel and I left that evening after the fire work show. I had Ryan look for it in my parents place. He looked and looked. My Mom looked in the truck, in the boat, in the garage, in the yard, and on the road my parents live on. Ryan and I looked in the car but we all did not find his DS. I told Daniel that we think that because his DS was left on the wheel well of the boat that when they drove off to go fishing it fell of somewhere between Grandma and Grandpa's place in Sandy and The Groege. That I was really sorry but we do not have they money to replace it and the games that he had. He was upset for a little bit but I think he understands that we will try to replace it when we have the money. He was very excepting about the whole thing. I think I am more upset that it is gone. My son has Asperger's Syndrome and his DS helps him focus, hand/eye cordination, a few of the games were teaching him Math and other learning tools. I know a lot of people do not like video games because they feel that kids play it to much. Daniel only plays his DS when we say he can. He does obbess on it at times but that comes with him and his disorder. I feel this DS has helped my son a more ways then one. I thank for letting me let my frustrations out.

Re: Frustration (Nintentdo DS Lost)
I'm so terribly sorry for your loss.
We also lost one that way. Andrew put it on the hood of the car.
It was a hard lesson to learn, but in the end, it turned out to be, (I think) one of the best lessons he has ever experienced. I thought about just giving him another, cuz I felt sorry for him. He was blind, then.
However, he picked himself up by the bootstraps and saved all his birthday and Christmas money and before you knew it, a NEW and BETTER nintendo came out and he bought it! All by himself!
He was so proud!
I am sure sorry. I hope that he gets another one, really soon!
Remember, when God closes a window, She opens a door.

Re: Frustration (Nintentdo DS Lost)
Thank You Jennie. I think I am just the one more devisted about it. Right now Daniel is not really upset that it is gone but I know that he does understand he should have been more careful with it. At least I am not the only Mother that has to go through this.

Does any one have a DS ( or any of the other things that are listed ) that isn't in use and would be willing to sell Please contact me via e-mail a bench_d@msn.com
If it aint to pricey maybe we could make a deal. and surprise Daniel. I feel bad cause I didn't notice it on the fender as I had the boat all loaded and ready to go and all i had to do is jump in the truck and boogie.

DAB, I think I might have one. Will look tonight,to make sure it's still around. My daughter used to play it, but has moved on to more grown up girl things. I will get back to you tomorrow AM and let you know what it all includes. You can have it for free. Kind of a private pass it forward if you will. Just let Me check tonight if I still have it. Jeff W.

Re: Frustration (Nintentdo DS Lost)
That is sad news.
Sounds like it is fundraising time If its ok with Jennie that is.
how much are they? If you are going to replace it I would pitch in a 10 spot. If you can give us an address I'm sure others would pitch in too.

Re: Frustration (Nintentdo DS Lost)
You have Jennie's blessing!
But, you guys? Please PM me when you have a comment or question. There is NO WAY I can read every thread! I nearly missed this one, for sure.
Good luck to you all!
I'd really appreciate that if from now on, we not do fund raisers for personal issues on the discussion board in the future. It gives others ideas. We know the Pultz, and we want to help. I'd just hate to see someone take advantage of ifisher's generosity, someday. They'd read this and say, "Wow! Here's some folks to go after!" You know?
The policy on ifish is that you ask first. Then, we decide individually how to handle each one.
So, if you have these kind ideas in the future, great! Just contact the mods or admins first. I do hope you understand. The internet can be a big and scary place.
Jen
