We beat the Baja!
Case of Cuban Cigars, bottle of tequila, mas cases of cervezas, 1k miles of bad road, we ARE now in Cabo, ready for the East Cape Dorado Tournament!!
Drove all the way from Salem, Oregon. Left sunday, camped out at a rest stop in Grants Pass, OR the first night- Huntington Beach, Cali the next night, El Rosario, Baja the third night; St Consitution,Baja the forth night, and now Cabo San Lucas.
Feels VERY good to get off the road!!! aprox 2200 miles total behind the wheel!! Yikes!!!
Eat Me lodge is awesome! Its situtated in the hills behind town, overlooks downtown and the Bay of Cabo San Lucas, as well as El Arco.. Our TV screan consists of watching all the sportfishers come and go!
Detailed report of the road trip and fishing reports to trickle in soon, Time to get some more cervezas!

Glad you made it safely. Now remember, your in training for the tourney, to focus on the Dorados lay off the cervezs and for gosh sakes stay away from the ladys.........
Keep us posted
and for those of you that don't know....... Dylan doesn't like regular jobs and he is working on becomming a professional fishing bum, something like 3 yrs into his Masters program....... so it's OK to be jelous. I know I am......

Hey!!! I have reservations for the tournament too but I've been reading the fishing reports and I'm actually considering cancelling the trip at the last minute thinking fishing will be better here. East Cape fishing reports for last week were absolutely terrible!!! Let me know what's going on down there so I can decide. Aren't you fishing the East Cape not Cabo?

We're supposed to fish the same tourney on the 14th but we're debating cancelling if the fishing down there doesn't pick up. I'm hoping for more info by monday (9th) to decide if we're cancelling. We don't fly down till the 12th. When are you getting there?
