Default Gunbroker

A buddy of mine bought a Remington 700 XCR (or so he thought) on gunbroker. When he got the rifle, he found that it was actually an SPS that was put into an XCR stock. I saw the pictures and it looks like an XCR in the photos. Is this a common occurance on Gunbroker? I thought about bidding on some stuff, but I'm very hesitant after that. Anybody have any experience with it?

Default Re: Gunbroker

I've purchased at least 10 times through gunbroker and haven't had any issues. However, I do stay away from sellers with little or no feedback. I will also ask for additonal photos of specific markings if they aren't already shown. If I get no reply to my questions or requests for additional photo's - I don't bid.

As for the SPS, it could be the seller didn't realize the mistake and might be willing to take back the rifle or give a partial refund for the trouble.

Post Re: Gunbroker

I just picked up a brand new SX3 on gunbroker and it was a great deal. I did contact the seller a couple of times before bidding to make sure all the details were correct. I agree, contact the seller and explain your dilemma. Normally, from what I've heard, they will try their hardest to make things right.
