Who were you fishing with last night?

I have been called a lot of things but "Mr." is not one of them.

Had a great time putting some fish in the boat last night. It was raining pretty hard but if the fish are biting, the rain saves the shower later.

Let me know when you are headed this way again, maybe we can go after the elusive Northern Pike Minnow, Since a quality fish I cannot catch this year.

Gonna put the hurt on them again tonight.

Dang! He's invited me to go, but I've been very busy, and unable to. Now I wish I had ditched all of my committments and gone fishing with him!

Sorry BOE, started writing about our trip and got a little carried away, will never happen again..... REALLY!!

Ok, so maybe Bait didn't call himself a shad but the boat sure smelled fishy enough.

As far as I'm concerned, you earned the "MR." after last night.

Thanks for the trip Roy,

hook

Default BOE the Shad Man??

The life cycle > roe > fry > fingerling > smolt > juvenile > adult > BOE. As explained to me last night by none other then Mr. Bait O' Eggs, alias......"The Shad Man". That's correct, BOE is a shad. At least that's his theory extounding on his magnetic abilities landing these large herring.

Bait was gracious enough to take a first time shadder out fishing last night, me. After many years avoiding these fish, I finally can say I actually landed a shad. We fished near OC, in the rain and overcast skys and landed 42 shad in 4 hours of fishing. Not bad for 2 rods on what is supposed to be poor fishing conditions. Roy said that was the best he's done on an evening trip. Course, you know who to thank for that.

The hot color was orange/red with white. Tried green, pink, silver, brass, mettalic green, chartruese and mixtures of other colors without much success.

Had a great time catching fish and wanted to thank Roy for showing this first timer the ropes.....I mean fish.

Thanks Mr Shad!!
