Late start and hit the water at about 9am. Bait guys said the "fleet" was about 12 miles straight out, which turned out to be correct. Sunny day, calm seas, cold beer, and fishing- doesn't get any better...
The bite was off and there was much grumbling on the radio about it from the charter guys, but there were some big King's out there being caught.
First bite came at about 11:30 and it's a small clipped King. Then "blamm" my ring started singing and reeled in a very nice 25lb King.
The day wound up with 9 in the box mostly Kings, but a couple Silvers.
Then we hit three in a row of Mackrel (? on spelling). Beautiful little fish!
I didn't know much about them other than the big game boats use them for baiting Billfish. The Gammies at the doc said that they only hang around in waters present with....................................TUNA!!!:fo od:
She indicated that they are running charters already out of Westport for our beloved Albi's. Could this be the year that we see BIG GAME taken from waters off Oregon? If this trend keeps up with the water temps, could be...
Next trip is to fill the freezer and I had it with all the "geeeee, look how cool we are, with all our Tuna!" reports from Garibaldi!!!

Thanks to you guys, I haven't worked in a week!
No worries, we'll get 'em up here in mass quantities, shortly...
Cheers!
