Default Weekend forecast CR

There seems to be a lot of difference between the noaa (west coast marine page) and wetsand forecast for this weekend. The noaa forecast makes me want to mow the lawn or something. The wetsand forecast looks fishable.
Any opinions as to which has been closer to actual conditions?
Also on the wetsand site I am assuming the NW beaches chant covers the area around CR. Still figuring out the wetsand site.

We went out sunday afternoon in to twin rocks area. I used the wetsands site and it was exactly what it had said it would be. Hope this helps.

swell looks like it's from the West the wind from the North, the duration isn't all that great... if gas were 1.75/gallon it would be a no brainer to take a look. At $3/gallon a wasted trip to the coast could buy a new TUNA! reel.

Wet sand says "5' to 6' swell , with 16 to 20 knot winds" for Saturday.
NOAA says " 4" to 6 swell with 15 to 20 knot winds for Saturday

Wet sand says "4' to 5' swell with 16 to 20 knot winds for Sunday
NOAA says 4' to 6' swell with 15 to 20 knot winds for Sunday

Except for the period on Sunday I think they are pretty much the same.

The Sunday period is right on a break point so we will see. But it is too windy for me to go anyway.

Both forecasts have lightened just a bit within the last few hours. Both are on the border line. We will go down this weekend with the backup plan of surf fishing. I want to get out but really don't want to get a beating on large waves with a short period.

I think I am not reading wet sands correctly. Instead of looking at the swell, period, and wind, I was looking at the surf forecast. Now it is making more sense.
