Default A Big THX to IFish Members...

Its a couple days over Due but I just wanted to Pop in a quick publicTHANK YOU to:

Retaliate, for answering the many questions I had about fishing for Tuna. He definately got me pointed in the right direction and gave great information about navigating Depoe and Newport...

And also to OuterLimits, for meeting me at SW and getting those clones to me, and also answering a handfull of questions...

With the information I got from them and others on some recent posts, I decided it would be worth the 5 hr drive to try for some tuna...

I had my boat overflowing with tuna at 0930 on June 30th. I had to head in with 19 only after about 1 1/2 hours of non stop action. I think we were one of the first boats back, since no one was ahead of us in the cleaning station at Depoe.... I as well as the other 2 tuna newbies that were my crew that day had a blast, and cant wait to get out and chase tuna again........ you guys rock!

Nice fat ones! That lst picture tells it all. Sounds like my first trip out. Three newbies in a jet who didn't know anything about Tuna Fishing! I am still addicted after 6 years!Velcum to zee Dark!

Great job out there. You were done before I even got started. I should have waited for you guys to leave, and I could have taken your parking spot. Hiking up the hill to my truck parked on 101 after a full day of fishing, felt like I was climbing Mt Everest.

Looks like you picked a great day to be out on the pond! Now you're spoiled

Hopefully we'll have many more this summer, like this latest weather pattern.

i wasnt quite a tuna newbie, as Ive fished for em in the Gulf of Mexico OUt of Venice LA. But It was the first for me in my boat, and w/o knowledge of the area....

My boat isnt a jet, But has an offshore bracket and 4 stroke Suzuki.

I was smiling ear to ear when we filled the gas tank, and she'd only take 20 gallons to fill her back up......

Took 24 gallons of Diesel to get to Depoe From Olympia.....

Congrats!

Gotta love the fuel economy the four stroke provides.
