Is anyone familar with the new reg's for
steelhead on the ZigZag...

I was told it is catch and release only
but I can not find any mention in the
new synop's.

Thanks......Beamer

I don't have the regs in front of me, but if the river isn't listed as being open, it's closed to steelhead fishing. Hatchery Summer Run's aren't allowed above marmot anymore, and there are so few "Wild" fish that I doubt it's even worth the trip if it's open. Hatchery fish are either recycled or put in Roslyn lake.

That's what I thought, but we have a place on road #9 on the river and I have seen a few folks fishing latley.

Years back it was a great place for the kid's to learn and have a good time on the river, but things change....Thanks
