Default Anyone here from Bellingham?

We're thinking about a move to the area and I'd like to know if there's anyone here that could answer some questions. Diamond B construction, anyone ever heard of them, or work for them?

Thanks,

I live in Everson Washington, which is about 15-20 minutes north of Bellingham. I have heard of that construction company. What do you need to know? Fishing?

Both! I'm headed over there in April to visit my Aunt and check out Diamond B for potential work. I just thought I'd check and see if by chance there was someone on this board that worked there or worked with the company somewhere...

While I'm over there, I'd like to take a pole somewhere and see what's bitin. Do any of those northern rivers carry Springers? What's running in April?

While we're at it, what do you do over there? I'm a Fabricator by trade but am currently working as a designer using AutoCad and MicroStation. I'm looking for work in that area, if you know of anything...

Thanks for replying,

There are several oil refineries within a reasonable commute from the Bellingham area....most fabricators in that region are in and out of the refiners all the time. SHould be able to go through the yellow pages up there and find plent of potential employment. Hope this helps,

Russ

I live in Everson but am a full-time student at Western Washington University. Going to be a fish biologist. As far as springers go, the Fraser opens up in May for them. Thats about the only local spring chinook run that you are allowed to fish. Its pretty good and gets better all the way until the fall runs come in. Usually we fish the Springers pretty good until August and then you can target both springs and sockeye. Fall fish up here are the big attraction with alot of our local rivers (Nooksack, Skagit, Vedder BC, and Chehalis BC) being loaded with silvers. We should fish together sometime in the future if you come.
