Pier or Dock fishing?

My boys want to take dear old Dad (me!) fishing this Sunday. Is there anyplace in Astoria or any other place on the Coast where we all could go pier or dock fishing? Someplace that could provide rental tackle, etc.? We would be traveling from the Portland area.

Well...the only thing I can think of for the moment would be for you to rent some crab rings at Garibaldi...but there might be more options out there. Never heard of anybody renting tackle...except for maybe a charter outfit, and that'd be if you took a ride on their boat. How about it Ifisher's...any help here in this area??
