Default Tribute to Bruce & Julie

Bruce and Julie were the ones who introduced me to the dark side. I know the converted many of you as well. So I would like to start this thread as a giant THANK YOU to two very gracious folks. Please post some of your favorite photos and some cool stories of the past.
We will miss the Julie Rose III but will always look forward to seeing Bruce and Julie on the docks and at Salty Dog events.
Happy Sailing

John

Great Idea.

They are very generous folks. Always make you feel welcome. Thanks Bruce for allowing me to take a tuna journey with you on the JR3. I'll always cherish the memories.

Bruce and Julie are a class act. I remember the Salty Dog party at their place a few years ago and their generous hospitality. All the best to you!

I have been fortunate enough to have fished with Bruce, Julie, their kids, and their friends a few times and it really was a treat. Never met a nicer, more welcoming group of people. You would think a relative stranger would feel like an outsider fishing with family and 20 year friends, but that was never the case.

Salmon, tuna, halibut, always a blast. I'll miss fishing with you guys on the JR3.

Never fished with Bruce and Julie nor have I actually been introduced to them. Seen the boat up close and personal but Bruce was busy doing something last year during the OTC. I have appreciated his thoughtful posts and scense of adventure he and some others have given us here with the bill fish deal. I have also apprecieted a few encouraging PM's he's sent my way from time to time.

I'm not a newport fisher but I know when a fixture like the Julie Rose is gone it leaves an empty spot out there for the Salty Dogs to deal with. I salute ya Bruce and I know there has to be a little pain inside selling a boat like that but..............travel the world and fish new and exciting places!!!!!!!!!!!!! That really sounds great to me brother. Cheers! And you can fish on my strange looking Glacier Bay anytime you need a fix. Just, we have a nasty bar to deal with.

Have fun Bruce and Julie. Enjoy the retirement years as much as possible.
