Cool picture by your moniker. Remember when I was a kid making those in Dads metal shop. They caught fish. Didn't track so well.

Bendman, I could never get my homemade ones to track very well either except for the larger ones. The 4 and 5 inch ones that travel 20 to 25 feet deep, sure track well even at 6 to 7 knots. The thing that I love about them is when they get fouled they shoot to the top and a few quick jerks of the rod and down they go again.
