Gold Beach Tuna run-6/27
We are headed for Gold Beach tomorrow along with a few other boats from Humboldt County for a wednesday tuna run. Looks like a solid 1 day window. Any south coasters headed out?? Tailchaser? Mark

Good Luck, unfortunately work has gotten entirely in the way for Wednesday. Lots of bait off of Bandon High spot Saturday as apparently there is up and down the coast right now. Dave and I would be there if we could. Kevin

Plan on heading out from Charleston with three other boats about 5:30 in the morning. First tuna trip of the year!

Re: Gold Beach Tuna run-6/27
My dad is going to be out there (Sally Sea), but unfortunately I have to work this week. Looks like a good window though. There are plenty of fish to catch that's for sure. The blue/green water line is very apparent and that's where the fish are. Don't stop until you hit it because the water temps are decieving right now. 61 degrees is only 14 miles out from Coos Bay, but the tuna are still 25. Good luck, post some reports.

Re: Gold Beach Tuna run-6/27
Its turned into a floatila-looks like at least 10 boats from Humboldt-seems like the tuna fever is an epidemic at this point.

Thanks for the tip TC

Re: Gold Beach Tuna run-6/27
Looking at the last terrafin I would definitely travel out of either coos bay or winchester. The water seems to be about 40 out of Gold Beach at least. It's half that out of here.

Re: Gold Beach Tuna run-6/27
You are right about that water-most of flotila have left. That GB water looks ok at 35 miles northwest. I think I'll think about it driving north. I'm not sure about the extra 3 hours on the road vs sea time. Thanks Mark
