Default GI Joes and G Loomis

Does everyone know GI Joes will no longer be a G Loomis dealer? Loomis figures that since GI Joes is getting away from their outdoors roots they will no longer be a Loomis dealer. Pretty interesting stuff especially considering the other thread about them.

Ever listen to the radio when you're in other places? Last year I was driving through Couer D'Alene (spell check?) and heard an ad proclaiming Gart's Sports would helm me "Seize the Weekend". How much longer before "Guy Joe's" is competing with Andy & Bax for the army surplus again?

Loomis pulled their product from GI Joes. A couple of reasons that are rumored are that Loomis rods were being sold below catolog price at the GI Joes (Loomis is price protected) and Loomis only wants their product in high end tackle shops-to prevent them from one day being sold at Wal-Mart, Fred Meyer, Sports Authority etc. etc.

I have heard the same thing that Sparkey has...I have heard many rumors that Loomis has been sold under catalog price. This has been done mostly at the Delta Park GI Joes because they are competing with Fisherman's so heavily...remember, these are only rumors, I do not know if they are true or not. Just what I have heard.
